Name: Kim Millen
Position: Oncall Team Leader
How long have you worked with H1 Healthcare: Nearly two years
Tell us a little about your career with H1 Healthcare
I work in H1 Healthcare's oncall recruitment team. I have worked in recruitment for a number of years before going on maternity leave with my first child, Cooper. I didn't want to leave Cooper to come back to a 9-5 job, but likewise I was keen to continue my career in Recruitment.
When the H1 Healthcare role came up I thought that it was too good to be true. My job fits in with my family life really well, whilst fitting my career plan by keeping me in recruitment. I'm able to look after my son during the day and work from 5pm during the week. Even better, working weekends allows me to work full time hours.
Who would you say is your hero?
I'm definitely not a fan of celebrity culture so I'd choose my mum and dad. They've both been through so much in life and are strong, successful people. My dad has progressed from a trades-person to a senior leader within a union, showing me that hard work and dedication will pay off.
What song would you sing at Karaoke?
I would choose "If it means a lot to you" by A Day To Remember as it reminds me of my husband being away on tour with his band..
Which would you rather do: wash dishes, clean the bathroom, or vacuum the house?
Given the choice I wouldn't do either of them! If I must choose one then it would be to vacuum the house. I've recently bought a cordless Dyson so that is bringing a novelty factor to mundane housework!
If you were given £5,000 how would you spend it?
Our money always gets spent on our son Cooper. I'd possibly spend it on a child-friendly holiday to either Disneyland or Center Parcs.
Describe your favourite holiday
It would definitely be going to Las Vegas for my honeymoon in 2011. My husband and I both like to gamble, both like to shop, and both like to eat…so it was an ideal location for us.
What three items would you take with you on a deserted island?
I'd bring my phone so I could be in contact with friends and family. An added bonus would be if it could be used for watching TV and keeping up to date on Facebook.
My other choices would be much more practical. First, I'd bring a mosquito net to keep critters away. And finally I'd bring factor 70 sunscreen as my ginger skin would struggle in the heat!
