Meet The Team - Executive Assistant, Louise L

We want you to get to know our internal support staff so we recently spoke to our Executive Assistant across the H1 Healthcare Group and wanted to share a bit about Louise and her role within the whole company.

Do you have a nickname?

Lou (sorry, terribly boring!)

Tea or Coffee?

Green tea for me. Matcha latte if we’re feeling fancy.

Do you have any unusual skills/Party tricks?

When we were much younger, my twin sister & I would switch places in class / swap clothes at parties and see who would fall for it

What’s your favourite Snack?

Danish pastries. Any time of the day.

Dogs or Cats?

Dogs. I’ve actually never owned any pets, so I can’t wait!

What was your Favourite place you’ve visited?

Favourite place – Norwegian Fjords or the Komodo Islands in Indonesia, both unreal.

When did your H1/Homecare Journey begin?

Last week! I spent over 5 years in London as an EA/PA within the creative industry and decided I’d had enough of the Big Smoke. I moved back to Scotland last week after having some really positive meetings with the H1 team and so far everyone has been super lovely and helpful. I’m excited to settle in and get to know the company and its wonderful people.

What's your typical day like?*

Check all emails and teams updates, go through my to do list & start working on the most urgent, liaising with different teams on various projects, checking in with the CEO, attending various meetings across the company. Right now my focus is learning!!

You're the Executive Assistant, why is it so important to H1/Homecare Scotland?

As H1 grow, I believe they require a solid administration resource that can assist with overall structure, organisation, time-keeping and support. This will hopefully take some pressure off not just the CEO & Executive’s but the wider team as a whole.

What’s the best part of your day?

Right now I am learning something new every day, or meeting a new colleague – that’s really exciting for me.

What’s the worst?

Not having the knowledge of all the ins and outs of the business - it takes time, of course!

What makes you proud to work at H1/Homecare Scotland?

I am working for a company that makes a positive impact on people’s lives. How could you not be proud?

If you had to summarise H1/Homecare Scotland in 3 words what would they be?

Flexible, caring, hard-working
