We want you to get to know our internal support staff so we recently spoke to our Peripatetic Recruitment Consultant and wanted to share a bit about Ashley and her role within the company.
Do you have a nickname in the office?
Not really, used to be called Ash when I was younger and now sometimes a few of my colleagues will call me Ash.
Tea or Coffee?
Definitely tea, has to be baby tea though – milky and 2 sugars
Do you have any unusual skills/Party tricks?
I don’t think I do actually!
What’s your favourite Snack?
Not so much of a snack, but you will never see me without a can of red bull.
Dogs or Cats?
I really like both but I have a 1 year old cat called Buttons.
Any plans for your next holiday?
Thinking of Turkey for next year with my gang, nothing planned for this year yet.
When did your H1 Journey begin?
I first started with H1 Healthcare back in 2016 with the on-call team and then progressed onto the day team which I love.
What's your typical day like?
A typical day can be pretty hectic, especially on a Monday morning as it’s all go! Other than that I have good days chatting away on the phone with the candidates and clients.
You're the Peripatetic Recruitment Consultant, why is it so important to H1 Healthcare?
I am here to look after regional manager’s desks whenever they have holidays book or are off sick, making sure everything continues to run smoothly for candidates and clients in the regions I end up covering.
What’s the best part of your day?
It has to be chatting with candidates and clients and getting to know them. Because I cover all areas, there are a lot of people and getting to know them and helping them is great!
What’s the worst?
The worst part has to be when it is really busy and I sometimes feel like I can’t give enough time to each person. I even end up needing to skip my break sometimes to make sure I have enough time.
What makes you proud to work at H1 Healthcare?
Being part of such a successful and well-known company is great. All my colleagues are very helpful and on hand when I need them. We are one big family!
If you had to summarise H1 Healthcare in 3 words what would they be?
FANTASTIC – company to work for
FAMILY – all treated like family
CARE – we care very much for our clients, residents and all our amazing carers and nurses
