Meet The Team - Regional Coordinator, Sarah Savage

We want you to get to know our internal support staff so we recently spoke to one of our Regional Coordinators and wanted to share a bit about Sarah and her role within the company.

Do you have a nickname in the office?

Not one I can tell you!

Tea or Coffee?

I can’t function without my coffee!

Do you have any unusual skills/Party tricks?

Sadly I don’t! I can wiggle my ears? That’s about as unusual as it gets!

What’s your favourite Snack?

Crisps! I will eat a share-size bag of just about any variety to myself!

Dogs or Cats?

Dogs! I have grown up with both, but dogs are so much less moody than cats!

What was your favourite place you’ve visited?

The next holiday will likely be after the new baby is here and the house has been finished so I think we will be going home to the Islands to recover!

When did your H1 Journey begin?

I was meant to start in December last year but with Covid and Christmas, I started with the company in January.

What's your typical day like?

Manic! We are lucky to be really busy within H1 just now. So typically, I check what interviews I have booked for the day and work around that. Checking any new CVs for candidates who have applied for a position with us, going through all of the compliance for existing candidates and chasing things like PVGs and references, checking documents, and making sure everyone is allowed to work with us.

You're a Regional Coordinator, why is it so important to H1 Healthcare?

I make sure candidates are compliant and legally allowed to work with us. We need this to be in place to ensure we are sending out reliable staff that provides great care. We are continuously trying to make sure that clients are receiving staff of a high caliber and can rely on us and our staff to provide great care and make a difference to those in care.

What’s the best part of your day?

Getting feedback that a candidate is doing well and being able to tell a candidate they have successfully passed our application process.

What’s the worst?

Telling candidates that they have not been successful in passing the compliance and interview process.

What makes you proud to work at H1 Healthcare?

I love this company! I love the team – right up to the CEO and founder! The environment here is outstanding, things can happen quickly, and changes can be made quickly when they’re needed rather than having to wait for months. The company always invests in their own people and processes as well, always striving to be the best in the industry.

If you had to summarise H1 Healthcare in 3 words what would they be?

Rewarding, fast, innovative
